haiku cafe calls this: THE electric lightbulb o' her criminal heart
moonberry (an avater of my astral concubine mixxturr) - 10:45 PM ET November 4, 2005 (#6058 of 6265) 'Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through'
oh yeah delacroix spent time in the cathedral she sewed up my jeans
we burned candles by night and learned portugese we left without telling
there was a blind man I remember delacroix it rained for nine days
she sipped beer through a straw from a paper cup we drove all day all night
at the scene i told the cops I had been driving we lived on st. ann
when we could but we spent most nights in audubon park when it was warm
We crouched behind a wall in the churchyard waiting. She said she had a
sister in Meridian. We laughed when we heard them rushing past then at dawn we caught a bus out.
I don't know who got the money finally I know it wasn't me.
From the air Kansas looked like a huge Mondrian. So we stayed a year.
We could breathe. I let my hair grow wild. Cool evenings and tea on the open porch
of that old stone house. She in that sweater. Her blue eyes and the newgreen
of wheat in late fall. Granary filling with canvases and sunlight.
She was at work when my letter arrived. He read it.
